Wink HT8 Module and Spektrum DX7S Transmitter - HELP NEEDED

    Greets everyone!

I just received my new HT8 module that I want to use with my Spektrum DX7S transmitter but it’s not working. When I plug it into the trainer port of the radio, nothing happens and none of the LEDs light up.

I was able to check the module with different battery connected straight to it and the LEDs turn on.

Any ideas? I would love some help with this one.

    Thanks
    Bren

Is it a V3? If yes, it should have an internal battery so make sure the internal battery is charged. Remember that not all transmitters power the unit...

I have used a Devo 10 that runs it off the internal battery and you need to turn it on.

I have 2 Nina Eagles and a Devo 10 on the HT8 and haven't had issues.

I am pretty sure that's what I have on my dx6i and it's working perfectly.

Check your cables... If it works with another Tx that uses a different cable type, I would look to the cable for your JR trainer port. IMO

The hobby shop that sold it to me said it would work with my setup. They seem to think that I am doing something wrong but can't tell me what. Not a lot of help... Here is a pic of what they sold me.

I looked, but my version does not have any switches to turn it on or off.

Thanks everyone. I managed to get it working, it turns out my unit was bad. My local shop wasn't much help but I finally decided to ask for a replacement and that solved all my problems.

    Thanks ALL!
